A.W.A. is one of the great companies in Australia's history. It is far from the biggest or the most profitable. Its contributions permeated Australian society in the post-World War 1 era in terms of communication, manufacturing and even sales. Its legacy is still being felt in Australia through the the wireless and television company known as the Australian Broadcasting Commission - commonly referred to as the ABC (and by many as Aunty).
